The premise of the By The Dark O’ The Moon originated from a scene in The Ghost Trap, which initially explored the folkloric struggle between fishermen and seals. By The Dark O' The Moon takes that concept even farther, re-imagining seals who fight back.

I'm currently half-way through adapting the novel into a screenplay.

Logline: In this Prohibition-era novel, a selkie (a mythological seal who can become human once she removes her sealskin) attempts to extract her kidnapped child from a rum-runner in Maine before her colony of shape-shifting seals threatens to wipe out the entire island.
